These are not your average family photo sessions!
In fact, they are like nothing else! Photo sessions with me are what I call 'VISUAL STORYTELLING'.
No forced smiles, no matching outfits, and no frustration trying to get that "perfect" portrait.
Unconventional in some ways - as you just go about your day as if I wasn't there, and
I will capture what truly makes your family magical.
Did you know that we only get 18 summers with our kids before they leave the nest?
When I realised this, it
changed everything for me...
I have a strong desire to hold onto the small things. Those unfiltered, unapologetic moments in between. The moments you don't even realise are important until much later.
Embrace the chaos of toy-strewn bedrooms, the living room couch-cushion forts, the toddler tantrums, the running through the sprinklers and the lazy Sunday mornings.
These are the raw and genuine moments that we yearn to remember and re-live.

I'm a Documentary Family Photographer based in Canberra, ACT, Australia.
But even more than that, I'm a Storyteller. Girl Mum. Rock music obsessed. Adventurer.
My clients are laid-back and seeking authenticity and truthfulness in the way their stories are told.
'Slice of Life'
Slice of Life Sessions are a great entry into Documentary Family Photography. These sessions typically include your immediate family and can be planned around the time of day you most want to remember - whether that’s a walk to the park, the hours leading up to bedtime during your evening wind-down routine, a backyard game of cricket or anywhere in between.
Slice of Life sessions are also a great option if you want to document a kids birthday party or another fun event!
'Real Childhood'
Kids only! These sessions are perfect for parents who want to capture their child's unique personality in a candid, non-scripted way without actually being in the frame themselves. No poses. No forced smiles. And no fancy outfits. I will hang out with your kids and capture the magic as we play.
Kids are hilarious, and funny, and weird - and we love that around here!
'Half Day in the life'
The most popular session - a half day documentary family session can be used to capture a morning or evening routine, an afternoon in the backyard, an outing to your favorite place or even a combination. Throw in a trip to Bunnings, the library the beach or the local corner store and I'm there!

There are alternatives to the usual family portrait session.
I have a number of session types to choose from so you can select what best suits your family. Options start from 1.5 hours.
I have had the pleasure of joining families for breakfast, them getting ready for the day, board games, bike rides, backyard plays and the toddler night-time routine. I believe that celebrating the full spectrum of family life, including the challenging parts, is so important. I don't skip the tears and tantrums as they are real, and so is the joy from the hugs you get afterwards.
The final product will be a series of photos that are authentic and tell the 'truth' about your family at that point in your life.
Are you an expat or temporarily living away from your home base?
Being a recent expat myself, based in the US for the last three years, I know firsthand how hard it can be, but also how wonderful it is to experience a culture different to your own. My love of Documentary Photography was solidified while I was in the US from a desperation to capture and hold onto our limited time there.
'Real Life' sessions are a perfect way to record your life while navigating the challenges that come with living abroad.
These sessions are also ideal for those families who are temporarily posted to Canberra for work - often in the military.
